IND System in the Netherlands
The Dutch government aims to create an attractive environment and welcomes knowledge workers and talent from abroad. The two main parties involved in the immigration process are the Immigration and Naturalisation Service Desk (IND) and the Registration Municipal Personal Records database. (Basisregistratie personen, BRP).
The Immigration and Naturalisation Service is part of the Ministry of Security and Justice. The IND implements the immigration policy and makes decisions on residence permits.

Things to note
- The Zeeland International Center can currently not assist with biometric appointments or residence permit collection. The closest IND location with these services is Rotterdam. Other IND locations are Amsterdam, The Hague, Den Bosch, Zwolle, Maastricht. We do have affiliated partners for more help.
