Why the name change?
We’re excited to share an important and positive development with you. Expat Center Zeeland, located in the municipal offices of Goes and Terneuzen, will now continue under a new name: Zeeland International Center. This marks the next phase in our growth and aligns with both our ambitions and the diverse groups we support.
Why the name change?
Our services cater to a broader audience than the term “expats” suggests—including highly skilled migrants, EU labor migrants, international students, and employers. There is also a national trend toward more uniform naming and service delivery among centers across the Netherlands. By aligning with this trend, we increase recognition and strengthen our role within the national network of International Centers.
The new name better reflects recent developments, such as the arrival of the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) in Zeeland and the launch of the WIN project (Work in NL). As part of the Zeeland Labor Market Region, the Zeeland International Center plays a key role in attracting, supporting, and retaining international talent for the local workforce.
