‘’Today we celebrate new adventures"
On Saturday 20 April, the Lasloods in Vlissingen turned into a place where internationals from Zeeland could get to know each other and discover all the opportunities in Zeeland.
The Expat Center Zeeland organized the annual year event for expats and their family members here.
Andre van der Reest, alderman of the Municipality of Goes, center municipality for the Labour Market Region Zeeland, opened the event with the words, "Today we celebrate you, we celebrate new adventures, we celebrate the collaboration with our partners, and we celebrate the Expat Center Zeeland where you can turn to with all your questions about working and living in Zeeland."
Visitors could visit 25 stands for information on topics such as living, working, leisure as an international in Zeeland. While enjoying snacks and drinks and fun activities such as a DJ workshop and a silent disco, they met other internationals from the region.
Around lunchtime, Emanuela Hermes, Veerle Koens and Jennice Van Aerde from Expat Center Zeeland had a moment to look around. The atmosphere was relaxed, the internationals had plenty of conversation with each other and the exhibitors. With over 550 attendees representing more than 50 nationalities, the event was successful!
