We introduce
The new organization of the Expat Center Zeeland is, together with Veerle Koens, complete and the new colleagues are introducing themselves.
The Expat Center Zeeland is developing and growing! My name is Emanuela Hermes, advisor of the Expatcenter Zeeland at the Municipality of Terneuzen since September 1, 2023.
Let me introduce myself. Spider in the web, Connector, A real go-getter! I worked for Dow and before I gathered experience in tourism, recruitment and HR in different locations and countries. Through my work abroad and working with international teams, I have a strong intercultural mindset. I believe in empowering other people. I look forward to making my best contribution with my enthusiasm and passion to our common goal of giving a warm welcome to expats and internationals in Zeeland."
My workplace is Terneuzen but I can also regularly be found in Goes for meetings and gatherings. When I am not working I enjoy reading, skiing, walking my dog, yoga, shopping and traveling. Besides my personal activities, I am actively involved in Dress for Success Terneuzen, a non-profit organization that empowers women and men to achieve economic independence, with a support network, professional attire and skills development to function better in their work and personal lives.'
My favorite quote: Be the change you wish to see in the world (Mahatma Gandhi)!

My name is Jennice van Aerde, and working as an account manager for Expat Center Zeeland since 1 September 2023. My workplace is in both Goes and Terneuzen, but eventually I will be found all across Zeeland.
I have over 30 years of experience as an HR-consultant at various companies and organizations such as NOC*NSF, Honeywell and the last 5 years at GR de Bevelanden with the Municipality of Goes as client. In combination with my experience with expats/ internationals within the staffing industry, in which I was also active for many years, the move to the Expat Center Zeeland fits perfectly for me.
I describe myself as practical with a goal-oriented attitude in which I find it important to identify the point before taking action. In my spare time, I enjoy good documentaries, long walks in the countryside and family life together with my husband, two daughters and my two dogs.
My mission is to properly seal the cooperation between Zeeland's government, business and education, by connecting and joining forces. Sounds like a cryptogram, but we can only put Zeeland properly on the expat map by acting together in this.
I look forward to going Zeeland-wide and contributing to the Expat Center Zeeland's right to exist!
