In conversation with EstatePlan
Even if you are young, not having a permanent job or not having lived in the Netherlands for a long time, it is still possible to buy a house. Often there are more possibilities than you think.
Wil Bussink of EstatePlan in Middelburg tells us more about it:
An increasing number of people has flexible contracts or temporary employment. They’re often young, but there are also many migrant workers & expats working on temporary contracts. In recent years, more (and more) solutions have been developed to enable this group of people to buy a home. In addition, the municipalities in Zeeland are also lending a hand to first-time buyers by offering extra start-up loans.
If you don't speak Dutch and you don't know Dutch law, it is more difficult to buy a home. How (are you going) to make a suitable offer with the right conditions? Therefore, make sure you are well informed so you’re not risking a fine if the purchase of the house can’t continue.
Informative mortgage advice
We are happy to help you on your way in buying a house. Be well informed during a no-obligation and free mortgage consultation where we discuss the possibilities. This advice can also be given in English or German or with the help of an interpreter. Many expats have already preceded you. Here's what Alexandra from Germany has to say about it:
We moved to the Netherlands from Germany and had all our financial history there. Wil at Estateplan supported us with every detail in terms of buying the house we wanted. With finding a bank, that would accept our non-Dutch financial history, with a surveyor to estimate the real value of the house, with a notary for the final signature and most of it all - with her transparent and honest advice in terms of the loan instalments, the duration of the loan and all the paperwork concerning the purchase of the house. Also after the purchase she was and is still there for us to answer questions which still come up. If we didn't have Estateplan and Wil, we would have never managed to buy our house in a foreign country, in a foreign language, with a foreign system.
