Kanaalzone Environment Day 2026!
Following the success of the first Environment Day held in Sluiskil, we are pleased to organize this event again in 2026. This year, we will gather in Sas van Gent. We warmly invite you to join us for Kanaalzone Environment Day 2026.
Date: Thursday, 24 September 2026 Time: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Location: MFC De Statie, Canadalaan 2, Sas van Gent
The aim of this event is to bring together residents, pupils from Primary School De Statie, businesses, government organizations and environmental agencies. Together, they will showcase how they contribute to the environmental quality and sustainable development of the Kanaalzone.

Activities for All Ages
A wide range of activities will be available throughout the day:
• Information Market hosted by several participating companies.
• Community Visit at Dow Terneuzen, including a guided tour of the industrial park. Starts at 5:00 PM at the Diamond Center. Registration is required.
• Bus Tour of the facilities of waste management company Indaver and logistics company Verbrugge. Departure at 3:00 PM from De Statie and return around 5:15 PM. Advance registration is required via e-mail.
• Industrial Museum open free of charge.
• Prize Ceremony for pupils of Primary School De Statie for the best colouring pages and solar-powered model cars.
• Solar Train Ride through Sas van Gent.
• Fun Experiments with Smell and Sound, where participants can earn a special certificate.
• Sports and Play Area in the gymnasium, including a bouncy castle, obstacle course and interactive games.
• French Fries Stand available throughout the event.
