Serving the international community

ACCESS is an organization dedicated to the international community. This organization works together with the expat centers in the Netherlands. One of their programs is the counselling service network (CSN). Expat Center Zeeland introduces this program into the international community International Zeeland Newcomers Center.

Deborah Valentine, ACCESS executive director states: "ACCESS is a not-for-profit, peer to peer organisation dedicated to ensuring new, international, arrivals settle effectively in the Netherlands and has its history based on the mental health of internationals. Since its inception, in 1986, it has had two counsellors on-call to refer people to the most appropriate mental health service providers.  Calling the on-call service remains free of charge and ACCESS Counsellors, who are professionals with expatriate experience are available Monday-Friday from 08:30 - 20:30. In addition to English, a number of ACCESS counsellors speak other languages including Dutch, German, Spanish, French and Italian".
