We look back on 2025 and continue to make progress in 2026!

We switched from Expat Center Zeeland to Zeeland International Center and have achieved significant milestones that we're proud of. Let’s summarize:

  • A physical counter of the Immigration & Naturalization Service (IND), launched on January 6, 2025, at our location in the municipality of Goes. This comprehensive service includes a one-stop-shop procedure where knowledge workers and their family members can handle all necessary steps with the IND, Public Affairs, and the Zeeland International Center in a single visit to Goes. This important collaboration between the IND, the Zeeland municipalities and the Zeeland International Center is a significant support and asset for businesses in Zeeland and for the international workers themselves.

The one-stop-shopping process will be pursued in the new year, so that companies, in collaboration with the Zeeland International Center, can right from the beginning efficiently organize their onboarding of international knowledge workers along with the correct steps. One stop shop | Zeeland International Center

  • The "Work in NL" (WIN) Information Point is a central point and a joint effort of the Dutch government, the province of Zeeland, and the municipalities in the Zeeland labor market region. They have established joined forces to roll out the "Work in NL Information/Services" for EU labor migrants. This new service is designed to support EU labor migrants in finding their way in the Netherlands and help them to make the right choices during their stay.

The Zeeland International Center serves as a central WIN Information Point where all EU labor migrants living or working in Zeeland can walk in with their questions.
This also includes EU labor migrants seeking information, for example, on housing or changing jobs. The advisors of the Zeeland International Center offer independent support and refer labor migrants to other civil society organizations that can assist them further.

In the new year, we will continue to implement the WIN to create a nationwide network. In this way, we aim for better integration into our society and good contacts with companies and their labor migrants in Zeeland.

Meet the people who have made Zeeland their home and learn more about their culture, background, and daily life. Meet Carolina & Justyna from the municipality of Terneuzen. They share their experiences of working and living in Zeeland in these videos. The result: your new home is feeling at home!
