Attracting and retaining talent

At this moment investments and funding are redirected to secure public health and all related. And the focus in our field is on retention, trying to keep people in their jobs and to avoid unemployment as much as possible.

However, attracting and retaining Talent should not be pushed back too much. Even now, talents are needed - for example in healthcare, logistics, horticulture, sales and support services - that we cannot only find within the local population.

LinkedIn
Networking to attract new talent (national or international) is important. For example, we often use LinkedIn in the Netherlands. Many organizations and companies post their vacancies on LinkedIn. Recruiters search profiles to find potential matches. Signing up to LinkedIn is free. Make sure your profile is up to date and matches your CV. Upload a professional photo. You can join groups, participate in discussions, follow favorite organizations, and receive regular updates from LinkedIn in your own job search.

Employment Agencies
Many Dutch companies use employment agencies to find employees. In the meantime, a large number of recruitment agencies offer specialized multilingual services.

English
The Netherlands offers, as one of the twenty largest economies in the world and as a leading global knowledge economy, many jobs to internationals. English is the most important working language for many international organizations, companies, startups and knowledge institutions.

Key Sectors
In Zeeland there are a number of key sectors that work internationally, such as the petrochemical industry, agricultural industry, harbour area & logistics, technology & innovation and tourism.

Attracting Talent gives an impulse to motivation, to innovation, to sharing new knowledge and/or rethinking of applications. This keeps the economy going strong.
