Westerscheldetunnel
Between the area Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and Zuid Beveland a tunnel has been realized. This tunnel under the Westerschelde is 6.6 KM long and is the longest tunnel for traffic in the Netherlands. Please be informed that a toll fee needs to be paid.
As of December 30, 2024, the Westerscheldetunnel is completely toll-free for passenger cars, motorbikes, and other vehicles under 3 meters in height. This means you can now travel quickly and easily between Zuid-Beveland and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen without paying toll fees.
Please note:
Larger vehicles over 3 meters in height, such as buses, trucks, and certain vans, are still required to pay toll at the tunnel’s toll plaza. Different rates apply based on vehicle category and size.
