Dress for Success opens its doors
First impressions count. Whether you’re in a job interview or in a meeting, your ideas are as important as how you can showcase your full potential. Imagine someone receiving a minimum income or social assistance. How to get a new outfit to succeed in a job interview?
Dress for Success is about much more than just suits. It’s a global organization, founded and run by volunteers, that helps both women and men with a minimum income to get a free job application outfit. Since suiting the first client in New York in 1997, Dress for Success has served more than 1 million women internationally by providing them with business-appropriate clothing, mentoring and professional development programs. Today it operates in more than 21 countries worldwide.
In line with the organization’s mission to make a difference in the community we live in, a group of volunteers laid the foundation for Dress for Success Terneuzen. In February 2022, Dress for Success Terneuzen officially became part of the international not-for-profit organization. Since this milestone the team has continued to grow by working together with sponsors – including Dow, and volunteers to make a significant impact in people’s lives. Today the team is glad to hit a new stride.
The first showroom opened its doors at Meester F.J. Haarmanweg 25, in Terneuzen in October 2022.
