Official opening location Goes
The second location of the Expat Center Zeeland has been opened. An official momentum was organized on Friday June 16th 2023 and as of now international employees and their employers can get information and help from the Expat Center Zeeland at both the locations Goes and Terneuzen.
The Expat Center Zeeland offers a warm welcome to internationals (knowledge workers and labor migrants, as well as international students and foreign start-up entrepreneurs). The Expat Center Zeeland started at the location Terneuzen about four years ago. With the enlargement of the location Goes (located on the ground floor of the municipality office), we have extended our services Zeeland-wide. This way we are very well accessible, being an indispensable link for international employees and companies that work with internationals. We can be contacted for all kind of practical questions about regulations and guidelines. Also for subjects such as housing, education, insurance, culture/leisure time, we can advise/help.
André van der Reest spoke during his opening speech about the importance of hospitality. According to van der Reest, chairman of the Zeeland labor market region, a ‘warm welcome’ to internationals pays for itself. International employees give a boost to the Zeeland economy.
Also during the panel discussion, the focus was made that internationals are of an increasing importance on the labor market in Zeeland. The Expat Center Zeeland thanks the panel attendees and Erik van Oosten, VNO/NCW regional manager, for their important contribution.
The program was completed with a performance of the ‘American Dutchman Greg Shapiro’. His highlight was the Zeeland unity and the cultural integration.
Thanks to Greg Shapiro (who proudly bikes to work!)
